Marvel finally unleashes our first official look at Daredevil's iconic red suit

Ahead of Daredevil’s midnight premiere on Netflix, Marvel has released a new motion poster that finally reveals the Man Without Fear’s iconic red suit. The reveal came in the wake of a poster that appeared online last night, but at the time no one knew if it was official or simply an awesome fan-made poster. Well, looks like it was indeed official.

The cool motion poster shows off the evolution Matt Murdoch’s (Charlie Cox) crime-fighting duds we’ll get to see over the 13-episodes series, set to debut in less than 24 hours. If you weren’t excited about the upcoming superhero series before, then this should do the trick. We start off with Matt Murdoch all suited up in his lawyer garb before morphing into the black ninja-like suit we've seen countless times. It then dramatically ends with our first official look at the classic red suit -- or rather, the Marvel/Netflix version of it. Check it out:

Now, have a look at the poster that was revealed last night:

I don’t know about you guys, but I actually dig the red and black costume and the tiny-horned helmet. It looks functional and sorta falls in line with some of the costumes we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before. Personally, I’m not so sure about the rugged stubble on his chin (I thought he'd go clean-shaven once he donned the iconic suit), but that tiny detail’s not really important. All right, I changed my mind, he looks great. Anywho ... what’s really important is the costume, and frankly I can’t wait to see how it'll look in action when Daredevil gets to go kick-ass on those Hell’s Kitchen bad guys. Cox said of the costumes, "I love both of the suits. Obviously it was great to involve the John Romita Jr. black ninja costume but the day I first put on the iconic costume is a day I will never forget."

What do you think of the Marvel/Netflix take on the Man Without Fear’s iconic red costume? All 13 episodes of the first season of Daredevil will be made available at midnight tonight. Will you be binge-watching?
