Ben Affleck's Batman and Jared Leto's Joker could be crossing over DC films

We already knew Warner Bros. and DC were jumping head-first into the shared-universe fray, and now it sounds like there could be even more crossovers than we thought.

First up, news has broken that Ben Affleck was reportedly spotted on the set of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, sporting his Bruce Wayne look. There’d been rumblings that a Batman cameo was part of a previous draft of the script, and if these set reports are to be believed, it seems the rumblings were right. We’d imagine it’s not a very big role (considering how stuffed the cast is with A-listers like Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie), but it sounds like we can look for some connectivity.

Digging deeper, a separate report from Latino Review claims Jared Leto’s version of the Joker will cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We still have a little less than a year until Batman v Superman opens on March 25, 2016, so there’s more than enough time to make it work, (again) assuming this rumor is true. The report says the scene is a flashback that will show the Joker killing Jason Todd, aka a former Robin.

We’d already heard Todd would be dead in the film, so again, it fits.

No one wants these movies to turn into a cameo-fest, which is a legitimate concern since DC is moving so quickly to establish this shared universe that it could make the next film or two a mess (see: Iron Man 2). But if they can pull it off organically, this could make for some extremely fun easter eggs for both films.
