Batman v Superman teaser released - officially, this time

The first teaser for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been officially released, one day after it got leaked online.

Director Zack Snyder posted the two-minute clip on his Twitter feed late Friday afternoon (April 17), calling it the "not blurry," "not pirated" edition. A bigger version showed up on YouTube a short while later:

Now that we can see and hear the thing clearly, two things are apparent: 1) Snyder seems to be continuing the grim 'n' gritty tone of the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight films and his own Man of Steel (with a bit of Watchmen thrown in); and 2) the movie is very much about life in a world that is questioning whether it even wants a godlike being like Superman (Henry Cavill) around to ostensibly protect it. And that is where Batman (Ben Affleck) comes in.

Listen closely for Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) in the cacaphony of voices that runs through the trailer, which also gives us quick glimpses of the Batmobile, Affleck as a grim Bruce Wayne, more of the Batsuit (armored and not) and that Superman statue we saw in some set photos from last year. And of course, there's that last line from the Caped Crusader: "Tell me, do you bleed? will."

Now that you can see it for real, what do you think of the teaser? Can this movie kickstart the DC Cinematic Universe in epic fashion?
