Update: Harrison Ford reportedly in 'fair to moderate' condition following plane crash

UPDATE: Looks like some good news, folks. ABC7 is reporting Ford was in "fair to moderate condition" and talking to first responders, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. He apparently received some lacerations to his head during the crash, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Our original report follows below:

Beloved actor Harrison Ford, 72, reportedly sustained “critical” injuries after the plane he was piloting crash-landed on a California golf course.

Ford was reportedly flying a vintage Ryan PT-22 Recruit, a plane used for training during World War II. He apparently crash-landed the plane at the Penmar Golf Course in the Venice area of Los Angeles near Santa Monica Municipal Airport. Numerous sources say Ford initially walked away from the crash but was “critically” injured. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.

Ford is set to reprise his fan-fave role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December, and is a living legend thanks to his turns in everything from Blade Runner to Indiana Jones over the years. Our thoughts go out to Ford for a swift recovery.

A photo of the downed plane can be seen below, and more information should be released soon. Check back and we’ll keep you posted as soon as any new intel emerges.
