Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation unleashes first action-packed trailer and poster

Paramount has released the very first, action-packed trailer and poster for Tom Cruise’s upcoming summer tentpole Mission: Impossible 5, now titled Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. The movie was penned and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

The upcoming flick features the IMF (Impossible Mission Force), aka Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team, undertaking one of their most impossible missions yet. Hunt and his team have to take down The Syndicate, a team that’s anti-IMF. It sure ain't gonna bode well for our good guys, now will it? In any case, there are some very cool-looking action scenes, and we'll get some awesome car and motorcycle chases, as well as a healthy dose of humor (thank you, Simon Pegg). Have a look at Tom Cruise (who's 52 years old!) doing some pretty hair-raising, high-flying stunts:

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation also sees the return of Jeremy Renner as William Brandt, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn and Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell. Sean Harris, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney and Zhang Jingchu round up the cast for the fifth entry in the Mission: Impossible movie franchise.

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation is set to hit theaters on July 31.
