Animated Con Man clip digs into Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion's backstory

With the crowdfunding campaign already four times over its initial goal, the fun stuff just keeps coming for Alan Tudyk's massively successful new web series Con Man.

The series stars Tudyk as the former star of a cult hit sci-fi series (ahem), and follows his weird and funny experiences as a sci-fi star working the convention circuit. It also stars an absolute bevy of fellow genre favorites, including his former Firefly cohort Nathan Fillion, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, Seth Green, Felicia Day, Sean Maher, Gina Torres and Amy Acker. If nothing else, it'll be a blast to see all these faces under one roof.

With anticipation high for the project, the Con Man team has released a new animated clip digging into the setup for the irreverent comedy series. It's a nice companion to the first (bathroom-set) preview clip Tudyk released a few days ago, and helps establish the wacky tone the actor-turned-writer/director is hoping to hit.

Check it out below and let us know what you think:

The Con Man series is set to debut later this year, and thanks to all the stretch goals from funding, should stretch for at least 12 episodes.
