New Twitter project aims to write the most hilariously generic YA novel in history

Sure, some of them are actually decent, but the young adult genre has inspired some truly generic and awful books. For every Hunger Games, there are at least two dozen duds cram-packed with atrocious cliches.

Luckily for us, writer and comedian Dana Schwartz has embarked on a mission to show just how awful all those tropes can be. Schwartz has created the new Twitter feed Dystopian YA Novel, where she is writing the worst young adult novel — 140 characters at a time.

If you’re sitting in a level of fatigue that is only exacerbated by lame movies like Divergent, this feed is a nice distraction while we patiently wait for the final chapter of The Hunger Games.
