New Avengers: Age of Ultron promo art reveals the origins of The Vision and Ultron

Some awesome pieces of promo art from Avengers: Age of Ultron have found their way online, revealing the origins of the Vision and Ultron.

We finally learn about the origins of one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ newest members and the film’s Big Bad thanks to a Reddit user who has uploaded images featuring biographies for the Vision (Paul Bettany) and Ultron (James Spader).

So, the first piece of promo art features Vision and the superhero’s bio, and finally sheds light on the mysterious origins of the brand-new Avenger. It reveals that Vision was created by the combined geniuses of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). This finally puts to rest rumors that the android was created by Ultron himself, and makes Banner and Stark proud daddies indeed.

Now, on to the upcoming superhero flick’s Big Bad. Ultron’s bio reveals that the sentient being has its humble origins as a simple Chitauri computer program found in the ruins of New York City after the events of the first Avengers flick. Of course, our fave genius billionaire playboy philanthropist can’t leave well enough alone, and the villainous Ulton emerges after Stark’s experiments.

The same Reddit user also uploaded a very nice little piece of promo art that showcases Vision phasing through a wall (a la X-Men’s Kitty Pryde) sporting the Avengers logo, and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) wearing her new power suit and power batons.

And the hits just keep on coming with more awesome promo art below. We’ve got more of Ultron wielding a rather mysterious weapon, Iron Man’s awesome Hulkbuster armor and the Hulk going toe to toe, and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) standing over an army of fallen robots.

What do you guys think of Vision and Ultron’s origins?

Director Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
