Get ready for Fox's Lucifer with some sinful new footage from the DC adaptation

Ahead of the series’ hotly anticipated premiere in January, Fox has released three new videos for its devilishly sexy new Lucifer TV series.

The videos feature interviews with main stars Tom Ellis (Once Upon a Time), clearly having fun as Lucifer Morningstar, aka the Lord of Hell; Lauren German (Chicago Fire) as LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer; and Lesley-Ann Brandt (Spartacus) as Lucifer’s demon BFF Maze.

The new series is based on the Lucifer character created by Neil Gaiman back in 1989 for his iconic The Sandman comic series. The character’s popularity was such that it led to him getting his own spinoff series, titled Lucifer, penned by Mike Carey. Bored with being the head honcho in Hell, Lucifer quits his job and moves to Los Angeles, where he owns a nightclub called Lux. Again being bored, Lucifer partners with Detective Dancer and gets his kicks by helping punish criminals.

Video Numero Uno offers a first look at Fox’s new Lucifer series, while the second puts the spotlight on Tom Ellis and Lauren German talking about the “fun and mystery behind their characters’ relationship.” The third one showcases Lucifer's ability to draw out people's forbidden desires. Oh la la!

Here’s a synopsis:

The series stars Tom Ellis (Rush) in the title role as Lucifer, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. Co-starring alongside Ellis are Lauren German (Chicago Fire) as Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer; Lesley-Ann Brandt (Spartacus) as Lucifer’s best friend Maze, a fierce demon who takes the form of a human woman; Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy Hollow) as Dan, an LAPD homicide detective wary of Lucifer; D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, an angel sent to L.A. to persuade Lucifer to return to hell; and Rachael Harris as Linda, Lucifer’s therapist.

Lucifer premieres on Jan. 21, 2016. Are you looking forward to Fox’s new series?
