The Dark Knight unites with ninja turtles in 15 cowabunga covers for Batman/TMNT #1

The Caped Crusader links up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in DC and IDW's Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, coming to comic shops on Dec. 9.  To help promote this epic tale of the Dark Knight teaming up with the Heroes in a Half-Shell, the publishers have enlisted the help of an all-star roster of artists for their wave of dealer-exclusive and incentive variant covers from the likes of Neal Adams, Michael Allred, Cliff Chiang, Carlos D'Anda, Nick Dragotta, Eddie Nunez, Dave Wilkins and even TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman.

Written by James Tynion IV (Batman Eternal), with art by Freddie E. Williams II (Robin), the six-issue crossover mini-series depicts how the evil Krang transports the Turtles and Shredder from their own dimension into  the DC Universe's Gotham City.  As they attempt to rumble their way home, the turtles inevitably cross paths with Batman and his cruel cast of notorious villains.

“I’ve been extremely lucky to spend so much time working in Gotham City, but it’s always a thrill to see the world of Batman through new eyes,” said Tynion in an IDW press release. “Taking the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on a Gotham adventure is a fanboy dream come true.”
