TV THIS WEEK: Jessica Jones arrives, a Marceline miniseries, and more!

We're well into November now, which means many, many shows are doing their best to capture all of your attention and max out their ratings before the holiday lull. So, with that in mind, there are a lot of big moments coming up, including the return of Gorilla Grodd to The Flash, an Adventure Time miniseries and a showdown on Arrow. Even with all of that, though, one event tops them all: The arrival of Jessica Jones on Netflix!

Check out the week in TV below: What's on your watchlist?

Adventure Time (TOON) Monday-Thursday, 8 p.m. - "Stakes"

Miniseries event! - It's been very interesting to see how Adventure Time has managed to expand and enrich the surreal Land of Ooo over the last seven seasons, and one of the ways the show's been so successful is through detailed looks at its supporting cast. The characters surrounding Finn and Jake have received plenty of fleshing out over the years, but this week the show is launching one its most ambitious looks at a supporting character yet: an eight-part, four-hour miniseries devoted to Marceline the Vampire Queen and some threats from her past who show up after she decides she'd rather not be a vampire anymore. If you're a fan of the show, set that DVR: We're getting two episodes a night for the next four days.

Arrow (CW) Wednesday, 8 p.m. - "Brotherhood"

Remember three years ago, when no one was sure a gritty Green Arrow series would work? Well, those days are long gone. Mileage among die-hard DC Comics fans may vary, but over the course of its four seasons Arrow has managed to become one of the crown jewels in the CW lineup, drawing consistently strong ratings for the network and spawning one spinoff that's managed to be just as successful, with another on the way. Even when Constantine failed at CBS, producers were able to keep the title character alive by shuffling him over into Oliver Queen's world. Arrow has become a superhero mainstay, and it doesn't look like it'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Sure, the numbers are slightly lower this season -- the show hasn't hit 3 million live viewers yet this fall, but this is The CW we're talking about -- but Arrow is going strong, and its place as the center of the DC TV-verse is not in question.

American Horror Story: Hotel (FX) Wednesday, 10 p.m. - "Flicker"

We've reached that point in the history of American Horror Story where it's time to start wondering how long the show has left. Five seasons is a solid run for a cable series these days, and when ratings started to dip a little during the Freak Show run last season, things looked like they could be on the verge of winding down. Well, put your fears of that to rest, AHS fans. Last week, FX renewed the series on the strength of Live+3 viewer numbers and demo score that were actually averaging higher than Freak Show was the same time last year (and Freak Show did very well early on). The Hotel season premiere was the second-most-watched telecast in network history, behind only the Freak Show premiere, and the show's DVR numbers (which FX pays a lot of attention to) are very, very strong.

Jessica Jones (Netflix) Friday, 3 a.m. - Full Season

Series premiere! - At last, the TV moment we've all been waiting for: the premire of Jessica Jones, Marvel's second Netflix original series, and its second original series to star a female hero. For the first time in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a super-powered woman gets to step up to the plate, and she'll be doing it in the company of fellow Marvel hero Luke Cage and the absolutely terrifying-looking Kilgrave. There's not much more to say at this point: Just get ready to wake up early or stay up late (3 a.m. is Eastern, so you'll get it earlier if you're on the West Coast) and binge this thing.

Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz) Saturday, 9 p.m. - "Brujo"

Ash vs. Evil Dead had an interesting start, not just because the Halloween premiere was so fun, but because it actually got renewed before it even premiered. Yes, Ash and his pals will battle Deadites into Season 2, which means it's time to take a look and see if the move was actually warranted by Starz. So far, so good. After nearly half a million live viewers check out the premiere, the DVR numbers for the show are strong, shooting up to more than 500,000 in Live+3 for the second episode. That may not sound like much, but for Starz it's solid, so there's reason to stick around.
