New York Comic Con: 12 Monkeys gets a new preview, pits Cole vs. Cole, and asks who gets lucky in Season 2

After nearly every character had a total reversal of fortune from the beginning to the end of Season 1 of 12 Monkeys, the question has to be asked -- what happens next? And the answer is "a lot." From time jumps to sane Jennifer Goines (yes, you heard that right) all the way to Dr. Jones' big revelation -- she's getting some.

And, in the midst of all that, you might think there could be no greater story. But no. Because midway through the panel, the question was asked: Who would win in a fight -- Aaron Stanford's Cole, or the 12 Monkeys original, Bruce Willis?

There was an easy out. Stanford could have just said there was no way of knowing, or that they would both win or both lose. That is not what happened. Stanford opted instead to say, "Bruce Willis is getting up there now ...".

That was all it took. No matter what else came up, whether it was Kirk Acevedo, Emily Hampshire or Todd Stashwick, things kept coming back to Cole vs. Cole. Let's just say, if Bruce Willis cared about anything at all (and maybe he does), he'll probably turn up on the set of 12 Monkeys to put poor Stanford through his paces.

And on the topic of Todd Stashwick, he was asked if his character, Deacon, was a bad guy. "No," he said. "He only kills people if he has to. Or wants to." And on the topic of his relationship with Jennifer, Terry Matalas hinted that it would get "complex". Hmmm ...

And in the middle of the panel, there was the preview for Season 2 of 12 Monkeys. Which, Blastr faithful, you can see right here.

What did you think of Syfy's twisty time-travel story? Are you on board for Season 2?
