Image of the Day: David Tennant paints the world purple in new Jessica Jones image

Netflix has unleashed a brand-new image from its upcoming Jessica Jones Marvel series. This time, the spotlight is put on David Tennant’s villainous Kilgrave, aka Purple Man.

The pic sees our titular heroine (Krysten Ritter) approaching Kilgrave -- who appears to be standing on a stage with a mic. Is the despicable villain controlling Jessica? I think so. The whole thing is bathed in a purple hue, and it would appear that instead of painting the man purple (which would have looked silly on screen), Marvel has opted to show that every time the villain uses his persuasion powers, the world takes on a purplish color. Nice touch there, guys. Take a look at the picture below, and let us know what you think.

There's also a new (if really brief) synopsis that highligts the mission Jessica will be on when the dark superhero series hits the streaming service in less than a month (huzzah!):

“Haunted by a traumatic past, Jessica Jones uses her gifts as a private eye to find her tormentor before he can harm anyone else in Hell’s Kitchen.”

All 13 episodes of Marvel's Jessica Jones will be released on Netflix on Nov. 20. Will you be watching?
