Watch the pilot for Ridley Scott's new Philip K. Dick-inspired series Man in the High Castle right now

A television adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s award-winning novel The Man in the High Castle has been in and out of development for years — but now we finally have a pilot. Want to see?

After the project bounced from network to network, Amazon finally stepped in to rescue the ambitious alt-history tale that explores what the world would be like if the Allied Powers had lost World War II — and Japan and Germany now rule the United States. The novel is a trip, and everyone from the BBC to Syfy has made a run at trying to adapt it in recent years.

This is arguably the buzziest pilot of Amazon’s 2015 season, and it easily comes from the highest pedigree. Ridley Scott (Blade Runner) produced, and the series stars Rufus Sewell (John Adams), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars) and Alexa Davalos (Mob City). Early reviews of the pilot have been positive, which could bode well for a series pickup.

Amazon has made the full pilot available to stream for free as of today, and the company will make eventual series order decisions based on viewership and feedback.
