New trailer for Ron Moore's time-traveling series Outlander features loads of brand-new, never-seen footage

A brand-new trailer for Ronald D. Moore’s upcoming time-traveling series Outlander has been released, featuring loads of never-seen-before footage.

The action-packed, sexy trailer comes from SoHo, the Australian channel that'll be showing the upcoming Starz series Down Under.

Apparently not content with showing an already-released trailer, SoHo decided to make its own, and what's pretty amazing about it is that most of the footage shown here has never been seen in the previous trailers.

Not only do we get lots of brand-new scenes with our main characters, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan), but we also have our first look at Colum (Gary Lewis), Laoghaire (Nell Hudson), Jamie’s sister Jenny (Laura Donnelly), Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) and many others in action.

Produced by Ron D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and based on Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling series of novels (there are now eight of them), Outlander tells the story of World War II combat nurse Claire Randall, who is flung back in time in 18th-century Scotland, where she meets young Scottish Highlander James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser (JAMMF).

Outlander will premiere on Starz on Aug. 9.
