Walking Dead Season 5 trailer reveals Terminus, trip to D.C. + a ton of zombies

Comic-Con Trailer: The Walking Dead: Season 5

The first full trailer for the fifth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead has arrived, and it's loaded with massive reveals and a killer setup that has us champing at the bit to see what’s next.

Have you watched it? Good, we’ll dig in.

After the cliffhanger last season, and all the insanity in this new trailer, we don’t even know where to start. They’re definitely not holding back what’s coming next in Terminus, and we finally get an inkling as to how their leader Gareth (Andrew J. West) will fit into the gang moving forward.

The new footage also doesn’t skimp on where the gang will be heading after Terminus, with a truck full of survivors loading up to continue the lingering mission to get mulleted scientist Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to Washington, D.C., to allegedly cure the zombie plague. As anyone who has read the comic is likely wondering as well, we really want to know what kind of twist they might put on this arc. Also, comic readers, did you notice that church?

Among all the plot revelations, there’s also a boatload of action and walker kills. Oh, and we finally get a glimpse at what’s up with the missing Beth (Emily Kinney) that has us even more confused. Where the hell is she? Also, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) gets to show off his new dark side by mowing down a street full of walkers with a machine gun. Intense stuff.

The new season of The Walking Dead debuts Oct. 12, and the fall can’t get here soon enough. Faster, Rick!
