Go back to the beginning in new Dracula Untold behind-the-scenes footage

There’s a new video for Dracula Untold that gives us a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes of this brand-new interpretation of the Dracula mythos.

The lucky folks over at ET Canada were invited onto the set of the upcoming Universal Pictures vampire flick (of the non-sparkly kind) starring Luke Evans (Immortals, The Hobbit) as Vlad Tepes, the original Prince of Darkness, who inspired Bram Stoker’s immortal classic Dracula.

Tepes, a Romanian Prince of Wallachia, was also known to all his pals and his enemies as Vlad the Impaler.

Have a look at the cool set visit and behind-the-scenes video:

Dracula Untold -- a dark retelling of Dracula’s origins -- also stars Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) in the role of a vampire Vlad Tepes turns to for help in order to destroy the brutal Sultan Mehmed (Captain America: The First Avenger's Dominic Cooper) in order to save his family.

Sarah Gadon (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Diarmaid Murtagh (Vikings) and Charlie Cox (the upcoming Daredevil Marvel/Netflix series) round out the cast.

You can watch the first, bloody epic trailer here.

Dracula Untold is set to hit theaters on Oct. 17, 2014.
