Image of the Day: Gremlins gets a 30-year reunion

It's been three decades since we learned three important rules, and then broke the hell out of 'em.

  1. Don't expose them to bright light
  2. Don't get them wet
  3. Don't feed them after midnight

Those are the three simple rules you follow when owning a Mogwai, but did Billy Peltzer follow them? Nooooooo. And now, 30 years later, we're still dealing with the grossest, deadliest, most insane monsters of the '80s -- the Gremlins!

Yes, Empire Magazine has gotten the proverbial gang back together. This photo from that reunion includes Chris Walas (Gremlins creator), Dick Miller (Murray Futterman), Joe Dante (director), Zach Galligan (Billy Peltzer) and Rick Baker (special effects supervisor: Gremlins 2: The New Batch). Hey, remember The New Batch? And the girl Gremlin that Robert Picardo probably slept with? That was kind of hot, right?

Ahem! Anyway, it's hard to believe that it's been three decades since the best Christmas movie that isn't Die Hard came out, but there you are. Seems like a good excuse for a rewatch to us.
