Ruh-Roh. Warner is set to reboot the Scooby-Doo live-action movie series

Like, zoinks, Scoob. Couldn't they, like, search for new franchises in the kitchen instead?

It's been just over a decade since Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed was released in theaters. That was the second live-action Scooby flick to feature Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mathew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and a CGI dog. It was also the last. Considering it garnered only $181,466,833 worldwide, nearly $100 million less than the previous film, that's not a surprise.

But 10 years is a reasonably long time, and, according to Warner Bros., it is exactly long enough to announce a reboot. The mystery this time? The name attached: Randall Green, a name we haven't heard on this project. Not that there's anything wrong with new blood, naturally. We're just surprised to find it on such a well-known property.

As to what sort of Scooby-Doo we'd like to see -- is NOT CGI an option? Or at least not entirely? Maybe Andy Serkis could be a mocap Scooby!
