The finale of The CW’s Arrow struck the perfect balance of wrapping up the current arc and planting seeds for next season, so what can we expect from year three?
Cast members chatted with TV Line about what’s coming next, and star Stephen Amell dropped a few hints about the next Big Bad who will follow Deathstroke. Amell teased that season three’s main baddie will not be as “omnipresent” as Slade, noting, “I don’t think that will necessarily be the case in season three … it’s going to be a little bit different.”
After receiving an extremely symbolic leather jacket from her sister the Canary last season, Katie Cassidy theorized she might get a chance to suit up and fight some crime herself next season: “I do think the torch has been passed. I get that feeling, and I think everybody else gets that feeling.” Another sign? She’s apparently beefed up her workout regimen heading into season three. Hmm.
One last bit: Newly minted series regular John Barrowman, who has recurred as Malcolm Merlyn the past two seasons, had a few ideas about what he’ll be up to in the coming months. Not surprisingly, he thinks he’ll be training up his daughter Thea in the ways of ass-kicking: “He’s got to train her to be a powerhouse, to be a tough bitch. She’s tough now, but she’s got to be tougher.”
What do you expect to see in season three? Did season two satisfy?
