David S. Goyer dives into James Cameron's Fantastic Voyage

Where does David S. Goyer find the time? As a writer, producer and director, he has his hands in both sci-fi TV and film. Over the past five years, his resume has included The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel and Da Vinci's Demons. Not to mention that he has a credit on the upcoming Constantine adaptation. Now Goyer is adding another project to his growing resume: Fantastic Voyage.

Yes, we're referring to James Cameron's Fantastic Voyage. It's been in development for years, and Cameron and his producing partners hope Goyer can spruce up their vision. He's been hired to write the film's treatment, following in the footsteps of other writers who have come and gone, such as Shane Salerno, Cormac and Marianne Wibberly and Laeta Kalogridis.

Goyer is also responsible for writing the treatment for the Sandman feature starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Once again we ask, where does he find the time? Fantastic Voyage will be a new take on the 1966 film that centered on a group of scientists who are shrunken down to atomic size and enter an ailing man's body via a tiny submarine.

What do you think of Goyer writing Fantastic Voyage?
