Julianne Moore reveals her Mockingjay character's strategy

In case you had forgotten, what with all those superheroes filling the big screen, Lionsgate wants to remind us that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will hit theaters on Nov. 21, 2014. And they're doing so by releasing the first images of the upcoming movie, plus a video from co-star Julianne Moore.

The two stills are of President Alma Coin. One is a headshot, and the other shows her sitting next to the former Head Gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee. It's a heartbreaking shot when you realize that this is likely the last role of the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died Feb. 2, 2014.

In the video, Moore chats about Mockingjay and of President. Moore said,

There's a very interesting scene where the Capitol bombs District 13, and Coin, rather than retaliating, opts to do nothing. I think that sort of speaks volumes of who she is as a leader. She's not about to risk revealing herself and her population in a fight when she knows that they're better served by lying low and letting it blow over.

Coin is therefore a character who clearly thinks before she acts. That's the opposite of Katniss, who reacts to the events around her. Their interactions should make for some exciting movie chemistry.
