With part two still a few months away, Syfy has already greenlit development on a third Sharknado film. So, what should they call this one?
The buzzy, low-budget B movie original scored solid ratings and insane social media buzz when it debuted in 2013, and Syfy immediately set to work on Sharknado 2: The Second One. As the title suggests, the film follows a group of survivors trying to make it out alive when a freak storm system picks up a ton of sharks and starts dumping them all over the city.
The Second One, which premieres July 30, moves the action to New York, with returning stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering back for more carnage. The sequel has also booked a ton of cameos and seems to embrace the schlocky fun of the original, so we’re curious to see how it turns out.
As for part three? No word on where the shark-sanity will be headed next time, though it’s currently slated to air in summer 2015. Syfy made a fun game out of picking the title for part two, so give us your best shot at a threequel name below.
