Andy Serkis is training Mark Ruffalo in the finer points of mo-cap for Age of Ultron

If you actually needed another reason to get excited about Mark Ruffalo’s return as The Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron, this should do it.

Though Marvel is keeping a pretty tight lid on Joss Whedon’s sequel, stars Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo are a bit more free-flowing with their social media interactions. One awesome, new tidbit?

Apparently Lord of the Rings alum and motion-capture legend Andy Serkis is working with Ruffalo on his Hulk skills, which will be done through mo-cap.

Serkis, of course, has done motion capture work on everything from Lord of the Rings to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes — and is consulting on the upcoming Godzilla reboot. Oh, he also has a role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

Though The Avengers already gave Whedon and company a good bit of slack and public trust, it’s nice to see they’re working to make sure the small things still matter in the sequel. With Serkis on the case, we can’t wait to get our first look at Ruffalo’s Hulk 2.0.
