This video with Christopher Lloyd and Tony Hawk will have you believing hoverboards are real

If your heart still yearns for the hoverboard from Back to the Future II to be real, then this is the video you've (sort of) been waiting for.

This creation from Back to the Future II made such an impression that I would argue more people remember its appearance than they do the plot of the rest of the film. Regardless of your feelings on the second part of the BttF trilogy, however, the hoverboard cannot be denied -- it is the one piece of future tech (that isn't a time machine) that everyone wishes was real.

In fact, we're still so obsessed as a culture that this video from the company HUVr Tech has surfaced, showing that, without question, hoverboard technology has been achieved. And they've brought out Doc Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd, to prove it. Tony Hawk, Moby (really) and a host of others all hover with ease in this amazing, totally real video.

All right, it's made by Funny or Die. But, come on! Wouldn't you rather believe the hoverboard is within reach? Marty's shoes are really coming out for sale. And people are trying to make as many Jaws movies as possible. So you never know, right? Someday, friends. Someday.
