Hannibal returns up, Walking Dead drops + 48 other genre shows

All our shows are back from their Olympics hiatus this week, so we've got a lot to talk about, including the season-two premiere of Hannibal.

Bryan Fuller's crime drama returned to numbers better than the entire second half of its first season and a good start in its new timeslot. But will it hold on? Meanwhile, The Walking Dead finally finished second on Sunday, Star-Crossed took a drop in its second week, and Intelligence continues to be in trouble.

Check out the numbers and commentary below to see how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day ratings.

MONDAY, February 24

Beauty and the Beast (CW) -- OFF

Almost Human (FOX) - 5.27 million viewers/1.6/5 share

Almost Human dropped again this week to hit a new low in viewers and tie its low in the demo. It was on thin ice already, and now the ice is getting thinner.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 1.93 million viewers/0.9

Teen Wolf dropped a few viewers but held its demo score to keep this season's run steady overall.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.63 million viewers/0.2

Lost Girl dropped a few viewers and held its demo score. At this point this looks less like a slump and more like a new status quo for the series. We'll see if it can pick up as the finale nears, though.

Being Human (Syfy) 1.17 million viewers/0.5

Being Human held its viewers and lost a little from its demo score. The night wasn't bad, but we know the end is near already.

Bitten (Syfy) 0.69 million viewers/0.2

Bitten slipped across the board to tie its series low demo score, but it's rebounded from that low before. We'll see if it does again.

Intelligence (CBS) 5.41 million viewers/1.2/3 share

Intelligence held its demo score this week but hit a new series low in viewers. Things keep getting worse for this show.

Archer (FX) 1.04 million viewers/0.6

Archer returned this week to numbers a good bit lower than most of the past two seasons, but these numbers aren't bad, and it could climb again.

The Following (FOX) 4.61 million viewers/1.6/4 share

The Following hit a season low in viewers and slipped a little in its demo score, but things still look good for this series overall.

Star-Crossed (CW) 1.14 million viewers/0.3/1 share

Star-Crossed slipped again after a very lackluster series premiere last week, putting it firmly in early-cancellation danger. We'll see if it can manage any improvements, though.

Person of Interest (CBS) 11.00 million viewers/1.8/5 share

Person of Interest returned this week to a substantial drop in viewers and demo score, enough to set a series low. But even this show's lows are better than other shows' highs, and it's got plenty of room to rebound.

Supernatural (CW) 2.12 million viewers/1.0/3 share

Supernatural also returned to a drop, but it's still putting up better numbers than it was two seasons ago.

The Originals (CW) 1.83 million viewers/0.8/2 share

The Originals slipped to a series low in its post-Olympics return, but the numbers still aren't bad. We'll see if this is the start of something or just a slump.

WEDNESDAY, February 26

Arrow (CW) 2.45 million viewers/0.9/3 share

Arrow slipped in its return, but it's been lower than this before and easily rebounded, and it remains one of its network's heavy hitters.

Revolution (NBC) 4.63 million viewers/1.3/4 share

Revolution returned to a series low in viewers, but it's still got a chance at another year. We'll see how the fight progresses.

The Tomorrow People (CW) 1.49 million viewers/0.5/1 share

The Tomorrow People got a small boost in viewers upon its return, but it's still one of The CW's weakest shows. There's a good chance it won't make it to season two.

DreamWorks' Dragons: Defenders of Berk (TOON) 1.64 million viewers/0.4

Dragons got a boost to viewers and demo score this week for a nice rebound.

Shows on Hiatus

American Horror Story (FX) — Returns Fall 2014

THURSDAY, February 27

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 17.73 million viewers/5.0/16 share

The Big Bang Theory returned to its lowest demo score in weeks, but this show's lows dwarf many other shows' highs, so no worries.

Elementary (CBS) 8.66 million viewers/1.6/5 share

Elementary lost viewers and demo points on its return, but it's been lower than this before, and these numbers aren't too shabby themselves.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) 2.03 million viewers/0.9/3 share

The Vampire Diaries returned to a drop in viewers and a steady demo score. It's trending lower than last season, but it's still one of The CW's strongest shows.

Saving Hope (NBC) — Returns Unknown

Wilfred (FXX) — Returns 2014

FRIDAY, February 28

Grimm (NBC) 5.32 million viewers/1.4/5 share

Grimm returned to a drop across the board, but not a severe one. It's still looking good overall.

Hannibal (NBC) 3.27 million viewers/1.1/4 share

Hannibal returned for its second season in a timeslot historically reserved for low-rated shows, and proved it's still ready to fight for a longer life. The season-two premiere put up the show's highest viewership since the third episode of season one and its highest ratings since the seventh episode of season one, and it did it in a less visible timeslot. We'll see if it can keep this up, and maybe even build on it.

The Neighbors (ABC) 4.25 million viewers/1.0/4 share

The Neighbors lost a few viewers and a bit off its demo score for another low week. It still looks like season two will be it for this one.

Helix (Syfy) 1.28 million viewers/0.4

Helix dropped a few viewers but held on to the demo score gains it picked up last week. We'll see if it can build on that.

The Walking Dead (AMC) 12.60 million viewers/6.4
