Las Vegas Wranglers hockey heroes sport Spider-Man jerseys for charity

These hockey players may not have special powers, but that doesn't make them any less super.

Ice hockey in the desert! Yup! Believe or not, one of the best teams in the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) is located in Nevada, of all places. They're called the Wranglers and, in addition to having the highest winning percentage in ECHL history, they're also Spider-Man. Yes, all of them.

Last Saturday, the team donned some very special jerseys.

Decked out in their Peter Parker finest, the Wranglers planned to defeat rivals the Idaho Steelheads, but raise some money for charity while they did it. Proceeds (that will also include profits from selling these boss uniforms at auction) will go to Children’s Hospital of Nevada at University Medical Center.

That makes the Wranglers winners in my book, but it also helps that they beat the Steelheads, 3-1.

Nicely done, gentlemen. Thanks for doing everything a very altruistic spider can.
