1st hilarious footage of Community's retro-animated G.I. Joe episode

The cult hit sitcom Community has been pushing the boundaries of geeky insanity for years, and now we have a first look at the new G.I. Joe-inspired animated episode. This should be good.

The 1+ minute clip serves as a PSA tag for the episode, in the classic style of those old kiddie animated PSA clips from the 1980s. Of course, this being “G.I. Jeff” instead of G.I. Joe, it definitely has that Community-esque twist built in.

Though the episode is set to air April 3, the network has managed to keep the details pretty well under wraps. All we do know is it will take the gang “on a Wizard of Oz-type journey through the world of G.I. Joe,” according to producer Chris McKenna. So, Wizard of Oz meets G.I. Joe meets Community. Yeah, we’re in.

The clip follow’s Britta’s animated alter ego “Buzzkill” as she tries to teach some vandals a larger lesson, until Abed’s “Fourth Wall” shows up to give his hilarious take on the proceedings. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think:
