1st look at Jurassic World's new and improved Isla Nublar

For fans of the Jurassic Park franchise, the future is now. The upcoming sequel Jurassic World will give the fictional Isla Nublar a much-needed makeover. The island has changed a lot since the last time we saw it, and we've got the concept art to prove it. The photos come courtesy of Nathan Schroeder, who serves as an illustrator on the film.

Some of Schroeder's previous credits include The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Thor: The Dark World, Star Trek Into Darkness and The Avengers. Below we get out first look at a sleek new design for the futuristic Jurassic World. The images are stunning and sharp, which means the impending destruction will be that much sweeter. At the end of the day, what's a Jurassic Park movie without buildings being destroyed from the ground up?

Jurassic World opens in theaters June 12, 2015.
