Bryan Singer reveals 2 characters he wants back for X-Men: Apocalypse

It's no secret that X-Men: Days of Future Past is bursting with mutants. Yet some characters are still unaccounted for. Director Bryan Singer recently admitted who he'd like to appear in the next sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.

In a recent interview, Singer said there are two characters he might bring back: Nightcrawler and Gambit. Both have already appeared in the film series. Nightcrawler was one of the primary mutants in X2, while Gambit had a supporting role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The characters were played by Alan Cumming and Taylor Kitsch, respectively.

Here's what Singer had to say about revisiting the duo:

"I'm considering a Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawler for Apocalypse," he said. "[I was] going to have Nightcrawler appear [in Days of Future Past] and even wrote a scene, but I felt that we were forcing too many mutants known history."

There's already been talk of a solo Gambit movie (possibly) starring Channing Tatum. But Cumming as Nightcrawler is a hard act to follow. That opening scene in X2 still gives us chills.

Do you want to see Gambit and Nightcrawler return?
