You don't have to wait long to see Matt Ryan as John Constantine; a photo from behind the scenes of the comic adaptation has been released. It features Ryan in full costume as the title character, and we have to admit, he looks great. For anyone who had doubts about his casting, please examine the details in this photo.
It looks like the first thing they did was give Ryan a dye job. Hello Mr. Blond! They also draped him in Constantine's signature trench coat, as well as a white shirt and tie. He looks rough around the edges, just as we'd expect him to be. We can't wait to see what the rest of the cast looks like.
Constantine co-stars Lucy Griffiths as Liv, Harold Perrineau as Manny and Charles Halford as Chas. David S. Goyer serves as writer and producer for the pilot, which Neil Marshall will direct. The above photo originated from the Facebook page Slates for Sarah. Sarah Elizabeth Jones was a camera assistant who died earlier this year while on a film shoot. Various productions have sent in photos of their slates to raise awareness for set safety.
UPDATED: NBC has released an official photo from Constantine.
