Word is already leaking out about what we’ll allegedly find in those Captain America: Winter Soldier post-credit scenes, and it sounds like Marvel’s mastermind, himself, got behind the camera for one of them.
During an interview with Collider, Marvel exec Kevin Feige confirmed that Avengers director Joss Whedon directed one of the two reported post-credit scenes in the film, with the other post-credit stinger handled by Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo.
So, what can we glean from that? We’d gather that one of those scenes will likely tease into Avengers: Age of Ultron, which Whedon is also directing. With the Russos directing the other scene, it means it almost certainly ties back into Winter Soldier. Considering what reportedly happens in those two clips, that makes a lot of sense.
Potential spoilers ahead for Winter Soldier! Seriously, turn back now if you don't want to know!
Still here? Reports indicate one of the post-credit scenes will introduce Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) ahead of their Age of Ultron appearance. If so, it'll make for one of the biggest post-credit reveals to-date. We're guessing that'd be Whedon. The other scene is said to focus on the Winter Soldier, and we'd think that one would fall to the Russos to tie up the film.
Regardless, are you glad to have Whedon back behind the camera for some Marvel-y goodness?
