Death Star architect defends exhaust ports in hilarious Star Wars 'open letter'

When you break down the nuts and bolts, the entire plot of Star Wars largely depends on a womp-rat-sized design flaw in the Death Star. Well, the guy who designed the ‘Star is here to defend it.

In a hilarious “open letter” from a designer of the Death Star, this great bit of fan snark makes some pretty good points about how that ventilation port design flaw makes a good bit of sense once you think about it. Plus, considering the size of a Death Star, you’d think it’d need a lot more than that little port to make it work.
