One of these TWO men could be Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis

Paramount Pictures and Skydance are one role away from finalizing the cast of Terminator: Genesis. They previously found Sarah Connor in Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, and John Connor in Australian actor Jason Clarke. Now it's time to complete the puzzle with the dedicated soldier Kyle Reese.

Last month, five actors were shortlisted for the iconic role; they were Sam Reid, Thomas Cocquerel, Wilson Bethel, Boyd Holbrook and Jai Courtney. According to reports, the latter two have moved to the forefront. Either Holbrook or Courtney could play the part, which was previously occupied by Anton Yelchin (Terminator: Salvation) and Michael Biehn in 1984's The Terminator.

Courtney previously appeared in the sequel A Good Day to Die Hard, and in Jack Reacher opposite Tom Cruise. He'll hit theaters again this March in the theatrical adaption of the YA novel Divergent. Meanwhile, Holbrook appeared in the sci-fi love story The Host as well as the successful TV miniseries, Hatfields & McCoys.

Terminator: Genesis will be directed by Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor and is scheduled to hit theaters July 1, 2015.

Who do you think should play Kyle Reese?
