Daryl lives (and is not alone) in 1st clip from next week's new Walking Dead

After a positively explosive midseason finale, The Walking Dead returned for the back half of its fourth season with a decidedly slow episode that focused on just a handful of characters. Well, next week, everyone’s fan-favorite survivor is back in action.

A new clip from the upcoming episode “Inmates,” set to air this Sunday, has debuted showing Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) trying to hold it together in their own mini-camp. Not surprisingly, things don’t look good.

Beth is freaking out, and wants to try and go find anyone else who might’ve survived the assault on the prison. But Daryl seems to have lost his cool, badass veneer and truly seems lost for the first time in years. All he can do is sit and stare at the fire, and it’s actually heartbreaking to see Daryl broken and lost.
