1st look at Jaimie Alexander's Lady Sif in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D./Thor crossover

The small-screen extension of Marvel’s big-screen empire is gearing up for one of its coolest crossovers yet, and we finally have our first peek.

The Asgardian warrior Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) is set to reprise her Thor and Thor: The Dark World role in the upcoming March 11 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode “Yes Men,” which finds Sif teaming up with S.H.I.E.L.D. to capture the classic Thor baddie Lorelei (Elena Satine), who is running amok on Earth.

Our first look at Sif on Earth finds her hanging out on The Bus, with Coulson’s favorite toy Lola in the background. It’ll be interesting to see her interactions with the team, and here’s hoping this gives the series a bit of a jolt.  There’s also the fact that, as far as Thor knows, Coulson is dead. We can’t wait to see how the writers handle that little detail.

Jed Whedon, executive producer of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., said the crossover developed organically as the writers tried to mine potential storylines to feed back into the big-screen threads:

“We always have our radar up for ways to tie our series into the Marvel films and bringing in an Asgardian really cements that connection. Lady Sif comes here on a hunting mission — sent by Odin — to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor's world.”
