Arrow's Laurel explains why she's not worried Felicity will end up with Oliver

The CW’s Arrow is one of those rare series that balance the romance with the ass-kicking, but co-star Katie Cassidy isn’t too worried about all of Oliver’s other suitors.

Cassidy, who plays district attorney and sometime love interest Laurel Lance, had a great chat with Inside Pulse about her character and where she thinks (and hopes) the series is heading in season two and beyond.

As for all those ‘shippers pulling for Oliver (Stephen Amell) to end up with adorable team member Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards)? You know, assuming Barry Allen stays out of the way in Central City?

Cassidy says she isn’t too worried, because despite chemistry elsewhere, she believes Oliver and Laurel are destined to be together —it just might take ‘em a while to get there. Check out an excerpt from her comments below:

"I don't know. I guess there's that possibility but in the sense of you have Oliver and you have Tommy and 'Oliver and Laurel' and I think at the end of the day, Oliver and Laurel are meant to be. They're each others 'ideally' first and hopefully at some point, each others lasts. No one can really ever compare to Oliver the way that Laurel sees him and I think Oliver feels the same way about Laurel. So Felicity may be there, it may be a fling, I have no idea, but you know, 'Bring it, Felicity!' [laughs]. Laurel has got this.”

Considering the way the relationship was set up in season one, that makes sense, but things have changed a lot since then. The writers have shown they’re not afraid to make course corrections along the way, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Laurel/Oliver love story stays as big a part as Cassidy expects.

What do you think? Who do you want Oliver to end up with?
