This is (apparently) the first synopsis for Trank's Fantastic Four reboot

Though filming wrapped a while ago, details are still scant in regard to Josh Trank’s upcoming reboot of The Fantastic Four. Well, the first synopsis is here. Probably.

An unconfirmed mini-synopsis for the film has popped up on the movie’s Rotten Tomatoes page, offering up a few tantalizing details about the mysterious film that has managed to generate mostly vitriol and confusion among fans. It’s not confirmed, but with it being a part of the film’s official listing, odds are it’s probably legit.

Check it out below:

THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. (C) Fox

So what stands out? Like most reboots, they’ve opted for the “contemporary re-imagining” tag, and the team is oddly described as a group of “young outsiders.” That sounds almost, kind of, high school-y. But we digress. This also offers up some more details on the tweaked origin story via the “alternate and dangerous universe” bit, leading to an eventual faceoff with Toby Kebbell’s Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom/Evil Blogger.

Not surprisingly to those who've been following the film, this synopsis also seems to confirm that the storyline will be drawn from the Ultimate Fantastic Four arc rather than the more traditional take on Marvel's First Family.

What do you make of the synopsis? Are you looking forward to that August 2015 opening date, or are you still in the Negative Zone?
