CBS's Supergirl may be part of the Arrow/Flash universe

Even though that upcoming Supergirl TV series will be on a different network than Arrow and The Flash, it looks like their worlds may be about to collide.

KSiteTV has stumbled upon a very interesting tidbit in the latest issue of Entertainment Weely that seems to indicate that even though Supergirl will be on CBS -- and Arrow and The Flash are both on The CW -- we can’t rule out some epic crossovers since the three DC comics superhero series may very well inhabit the same TV universe.

Supergirl (which was actually passed over by The CW) is currently being developed by Greg Berlanti, who is also a producer on both Arrow and The Flash.

Here’s said tidbit:

“Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, and with a twist that that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it's possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.”

There you have it. That should make the geeks in all of us very, very happy.

What do you guys think? Are you excited about the possible crossovers between CBS’ Supergirl and The CW’s Arrow and The Flash?
