New Jupiter Ascending trailer reminds us the Wachowskis' out-there sci-fi epic is still a thing that's happening

In case you’ve forgotten, the Wachowskis’ sci-fi epic Jupiter Ascending is still a thing that is happening — and here’s a new trailer to prove it.

The film was originally supposed to open this past July, but Warner Bros. decided to bump it all the way to Feb. 6, 2015, to allow some additional time on effects, editing and development. Jupiter Ascending stars Mila Kunis as a long-lost space princess and Channing Tatum as an alien with weird ears.

Admittedly, we could see why that’d be a weird pitch and they’d want to take a bit of time to hone the promo plan and tinker a bit. The first few trailers didn’t help much, and were somewhat confusing and didn’t show off enough of the wild sci-fi stuff that is clearly part of the story. Luckily, this latest trailer aims to remedy that.

The new French trailer below is loaded with new footage, including a boatload of space stuff and twisty sci-fi shots. It still looks strange, but it at least looks cool in a Fifth Element kind of way. Check it out and let us know what you think:
