Have a look at 15 rare (and cool) behind-the-scenes pics from Star Wars: A New Hope

Can’t wait for the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens to hit Friday? Then have a look at some rare BTS pics from the film that started it all in a galaxy far, far away.

The rare Star Wars: A New Hope behind-the-scenes pics are part of BFI’s sci-fi festival “Days of Fear and Wonder.” The exhibition, currently on display at the Atrium of the British Film Institute's Southbank location, and will be there for your viewing pleasure until Jan. 4, 2015.

The cool snaps from the set of the first Star Wars flick come from the personal collection of Ann Skinner, who acted as continuity supervisor on the 1977 film (some pics even have Skinner's handwritten notes about said continuity).

You get a look at many of the main actors, including Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and the great Peter Cushing, as well as David Prowse (Darth Vader) and Paul Blake (Greedo) without their masks. Also in the pics are  Anthony Forrest as Laze Loneozner, Koo Stark as Camie and Garrick Hagon as Biggs Darklighter from the deleted Tosche Station scene.

This scene -- which showed the group in Luke's favorite hangout on Tatooine, Tosche Station -- was ultimately cut from the film, but you can see it in the Blu-ray edition of the first Star Wars trilogy.
