First unsettling footage and creepy title credits for American Horror Story: Freakshow

After teasing us to death with atmospheric clips, we finally have our first peek at actual footage from FX’s American Horror Story: Freakshow. Not surprisingly, it’s a little freaky.

The network has finally dropped the first trailer with actual footage, which introduces us to the main cast and the battle of wills we'll see play out in 1950s Jupiter, Fla. Ryan Murphy’s little horror anthology series has been one of the most fun (albeit uneven, at times) shows on television, and the carnival setting should be a unique place to explore.

Returning star Jessica Lange leads the new storyline as Elsa Mars, the owner of a collection of human oddities. Fellow AHS alums Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters help make up the cast of strange folks populating the show. It's one heck of a cast, and with a premise like this, it'll be interesting to see how they're all used (see: Kathy Bates' beard).

Along with the first footage, the network has also revealed the insanely freaky opening title credits they’ll be using this season. American Horror Story has consistently had one of the best title sequences on television in the modern era — and this season will be no exception. The full 1+ minute opening has a stop-motion horror vibe, guaranteed to give you chills.
