Adrianne Palicki confirms talks to add Mockingbird to The Avengers

Former Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki has just confirmed there have been talks about the possibility of transitioning her Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character, Mockingbird, to the big screen in The Avengers.

This is what the G.I. Joe: Retaliation actress revealed in an interview with IGN, where she also discussed her role as Bobbi Morse on the ABC comic-book TV series.

Although Palicki will first play the Head of Hydra Security in the upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. episode “A Hen in the Wolf House,” the actress said:

“Bobbi Morse is another badass character. She was been working with S.H.I.E.L.D. for a bit...She gets along with the team very well.”

In the comics, Mockingbird becomes a superhero, marries Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, and then becomes a member of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Palicki says that the possibility of bringing the character over from TV Land to the MCU was what appealed to her when she signed up for the role:

“Absolutely – that was one of the things that was discussed when I was coming on for the part, and you know, we’ll see what happens. It’s such a nice world that we live in that crossover can happen so often now which in the past it never really did so, to see these worlds come together on the small screen and the big screen is really cool.”

What do you guys think? Is there any chance we’ll get to see Mockingbird in The Avengers 3, or perhaps even sooner than that?
