Uh-oh! Naughty Dog says it's 'doubtful' Uncharted 4 will be released in 2014

Were you looking forward to adventuring again with Nathan Drake in November of this year? Well, it looks like it’s not gonna happen.

Back in November 2013, Naughty Dog released a brief teaser for Uncharted 4, and we totally thought that the new game would be released in time for the 2014 holidays.

It now seems unlikely, however, that we'll get our hands on a brand-new Nathan Drake adventure before the year is over, because Naughty Dog has just announced that it’s “doubtful” that both Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us: Game of the Year Edition will be released this year. This piece of news comes courtesy of community strategist Eric Monacelli, who was responding to a fan question on the PS Blog. The fan asked whether we’d see either of those titles this year and got a very brief (but devastating) “Ha. Doubtful.”

Uncharted is Naughty Dog’s most successful and hottest property and has been so for years. It’s also a PlayStation-exclusive franchise.

We’ll probably get to know more about Uncharted’s status at this year’s E3, which will take place in June. Hopefully we’ll have an idea as to when Naughty Dog will release this highly anticipated game.

Are you guys as disappointed as we are that it's "doubtful" Uncharted 4 will be released in 2014?
