Following returns big, Intelligence drops + 47 other genre shows

We got even more new shows this week, but the big winner was The Following.

The Fox horror/crime/thriller series hit new highs with its season-two premiere, setting it on a solid path for the year going forward. Meanwhile, Intelligence didn't fare so well in its second week on the air, Bitten premiered to mediocre numbers, and Sherlock had a solid season-three premiere.

Check out the numbers and commentary below to see how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day ratings.

Sleepy Hollow lost a few viewers this week but held on to a strong demo score for another good night.

Beauty and the Beast (CW) 0.71 million viewers/0.3/1 share

Beauty and the Beast held its demo score but lost a few viewers in its 2014 return, continuing the show's struggling status.

Almost Human (FOX) 6.88 million viewers/2.0/6 share

Almost Human got a nice boost this week for its best episode since episode two of the series. We'll see if that boost can carry over into another week.

Teen Wolf dropped in its second episode back, but it's still posting solid numbers.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.94 million viewers/0.3

Being Human (Syfy) 1.25 million viewers/0.5

Being Human returned this week with a demo score that broke even with last season's finale, and a viewership that was even higher. That certainly bodes well for the series going forward.

Bitten (Syfy) 0.84 million viewers/0.3

Bitten couldn't touch its established sci-fi peers in its series premiere on Syfy, but there's still room for it to grow. We'll see what the coming weeks bring.

Archer (FX) 1.64 million viewers/1.0

Archer returned for another strong season premiere this week, proving that it's not slowing down as it enters season five.

Intelligence (CBS) 6.20 million viewers/1.2/3 share

Intelligence took a massive drop on its first Monday night outing, losing half its demo score and more than half its viewers in its second week. There's still time for it to rebound and grow, though, so we'll see what week three brings.

Person of Interest held its demo score and gained viewers for another solid week.

Supernatural (CW) 2.21 million viewers/1.0/3 share

Arrow (CW) 2.52 million viewers/0.9/3 share

Arrow dropped this week, but it remains one of its network's top shows, and there's no reason to think it won't have even more high points this season.

Revolution's took a drop this week to hit a new low across the board. It's not doomed, but it keeps edging toward that territory.

Sadly, PBS doesn't release its ratings data the way other networks do, but we do know from early reports that the Sherlock season-three premiere bested the season-two premiere by nearly one million viewers, so that's a good sign. We'll bring you more detailed numbers as we get them.
