Here's how the final days of Matt Smith's Doctor will be revealed

Are you already missing Matt Smith's Time Lord on Doctor Who? Well, he's back! But not exactly how you think ...

Smith’s Eleventh Doctor will return in the form of a new digital-only ebook that’ll explore the final days of the Doctor on Trenzalore.

Titled -- fittingly enough -- Tales of Trenzalore, the ebook will be comprised of four different tales, each featuring a classic Doctor Who monster.

“Let It Snow” by Justin Richards will feature the Ice Warriors, while George Mann’s “An Apple a Day” will reintroduce the Krynoids. In “Strangers in the Outland,” the Autons will be back, and the Mara will make a return appearance in the Mark Morris-penned “The Dreaming.”

The stories are set during the 900 years the Doctor spent on Trenzalore, as seen during the Xmas special “The Time of the Doctor,” defending the town of Christmas and its denizens.

Check out the ebook’s blurb:

"As it had been foretold, the armies of the Universe gathered at Trenzalore. Only one thing stood between the planet and destruction - the Doctor. For 900 years, he defended the planet, and the tiny town of Christmas, against the forces that would destroy it.
"This is a glimpse of just some of the terrors the people faced, the monstrous threats the Doctor defeated. These are the tales of the monsters who found themselves afraid - and of the one man who was not."

You can pre-order the heck out of the ebook here.

Are you guys excited that the tales of the Doctor’s many battles on Trenzalore will be told even in ebook format?
