Kingsley is back as the face of the Mandarin in 1st clip from Marvel's All Hail the King one-shot

The first footage from Marvel’s latest Iron Man 3-inspired one shot, All Hail the King, has arrived, and in addition to showing off more Ben Kingsley, it also gives us our first look into the famed comic madhouse of Seagate Prison.

Spoilers ahead for Iron Man 3!

The clip focuses on Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), who was controversially used as a patsy to portray the legendary baddie The Mandarin in the latest Iron Man sequel. The 14-minute short is framed around a documentarian (played by Scoot McNairy) working to uncover the truth behind Slattery’s real identity and newfound infamy.

The full 14-minute short was written and directed by Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce, and looks to be one of the most ambitious efforts yet as far as the approach and talent (See: Ben Kingsley). It also gives us our first look into Marvel’s Seagate Prison, which as comic fans know, could have a much larger role to play in Netflix’s upcoming Luke Cage series.

Though fans were divided over the decision to use Kingsley’s Mandarin as a fake out, his wacky Trevor character was one of the great surprises of Iron Man 3. If nothing else, it should be fun to hang out with the insane, wanna-be glory-hound for a little while longer. The complete short will be included on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-Ray release set to hit shelves February 25.

The clip is hosted at Entertainment Weekly, but is not embeddable. Click on the pic below to watch the opening scene and let us know what you think.
