Tom Hiddleston’s Loki may not be putting in an appearance in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but the actor is quite opened to wreaking havoc on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The actor said he would consider reprising the role of Loki in Joss Whedon’s TV spinoff. So that's good, right?
Apparently Tom Hiddleston is in the know with Marvel, and he spoke about appearing on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with his Avengers director, Joss Whedon, at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.
According to Crave Online, Whedon told them the day before that he would ask Marvel movie actors to do S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes if it did make sense for the storyline.
Hiddleston agreed with that and said:
“It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course. I’ve spoken to him [Joss Whedon] about it. I saw him down in San Diego. I hear it’s good fun.”
Loki may not be in Age of Ultron, but we’ll next see him in Thor: The Dark World, where the character will once again be featured prominently—no doubt causing mischief (just the way we like it) when he’s not busy helping to save Asgard, the Nine Realms and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) alongside his brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth) against the film's new Big Bad, Malekith (Christopher Eccleston).
Would you like to see Loki appear on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? After all, there's the little question of a Loki-Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) reckoning just waiting to happen.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on ABC Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. while Thor: The Dark World will open in theaters on Nov. 8.
