Everything's better with more of the hella-horned trixster Loki, and judging by some new Thor: The Dark World reshoots, Marvel seems to agree.
Here's an insightful interview with the Thor sequel's gritty director Alan Taylor, as the Game of Thrones veteran chats at D23 on Disney's magical pot of gold kept for emergency scene additions, the last-minute insanity that invades the editing room on all Marvel movies, and lotsa loveable Loki.
With Loki insinuating himself in fandom's hearts with every sneering appearance, it's no surprise Taylor reveals that new pick-up shots were recently completed with Tom Hiddleston in Manhattan Beach, California — and it's not just a quick snippet of the Asgardian swinging his scepter. Additional full-blown sequences were filmed, including a "final connective scene due to how well Loki was working in the movie."
Taylor adds that his creative team was "adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time."
Wow, what wonders may come? Have a listen and let us know if you're glad they're adding in some extra Loki before this one hits on November 8.
