Now we know when we'll be able to catch more of Syfy's Defiance

The first season may be over, but more Defiance is already headed our way.

Last night, the hit series wrapped up its first run of episodes on Syfy with a number of huge developments, including a political shift, a few deaths and a pretty shocking conclusion. Now the long wait begins for the show's second season, and while you can certainly fill time by playing the Defiance tie-in game, you've also now got at least a rough date to circle on your calendar in preparation for season two. Here's when Syfy says the series will be back.

Sadly, we don't have a specific premiere date yet, but make note of that month if you're itching for more episodes.

And if you just can't wait until then to see more of the show's cast, and you're heading to this year's San Diego Comic-Con, be sure to catch the Defiance panel at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in Room 6A. Stars Grant Bowler (Nolan), Julie Benz (Amanda) and Jaime Murray (Stahma) will be on hand to chat about season one's success and even share a few tidbits from season two. And that's not all. Syfy's also once again transforming a San Diego Hard Rock Hotel restaurant into "Cafe Defiance," pictured above, so you should definitely head over there to hang out with fellow fans.

So, now that season one is over, we've officially got less than a year to wait until season two. Will you be returning to Defiance next year?
